Pieces falling
far more quickly
with each breaking dawn

Red complexion
painted deep blue
light shaded by mud

I would color your world
if there were a way
to stop or change time

But you’re the only one
can choose each day’s end
know you’re never alone

with your hopeful voice
I will scream with you

Move in closer
Take my shoulder
